If this sounds exciting, we\'d love to hear from you! About the opportunity: The opportunity is completely remote within Europe, Canada and the United States! As a Network Automation Engineer in the Network Architecture team, you will play a major role in developing, maintaining and automating our infrastructure. You\'ll be part of a growing team that is building our next generation fiber Internet and backbone platform. The platform offers a robust API for provisioning and managing hardware, including core and access network devices in our fiber network and integrates with many other services and tools that power our business. These capabilities allow us to differentiate and scale our Ting Fiber network and business. The ideal candidate for this role has a computer science background with Python experience as well as an affinity with networking services. You develop, test, administer, deploy, and maintain our infrastructure. You are open to giving and receiving feedback, participating in peer reviews and design discussions. We are a distributed team with team members located across Europe, Canada and the United States. We recognize the unique advantage that remote work provides and work flexible hours. What you\'ll be doing:

  • Expanding and integrating our existing software tools.
  • Open-sourcing internal software and contributing to various open source projects.
  • Building CI/CD pipelines for our network and infrastructure deployment setup.
  • Building tools that enable us to create the best customer service experience possible.
Key skills and experience:
  • 3+ years of experience as a Python developer.
  • Experience working in an agile environment (we use sprints and Kanban to organize our work).
  • Exposure to multiple programming languages (Go, Python).
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Experience working with external teams, building integrations with 3rd party systems.
  • Will be required to be part of an on-call rotation.
Nice to have:
  • Knowledge and experience working at an ISP (Internet Service Provider).
  • Knowledge of FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and service provider networks is a plus.
  • Experience creating and contributing to open-source projects.
The base salary range for this position is $127,000-$143,000.00 USD for US residents OR $111,000.00- $131,000.00 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
