One of government our clients is looking for Sr. DevOps Specialist (BuildMaster, Azure, RedHat OpenShift Exp.)
Length: 12 months Contract with a possibility of extension
Location: 100% Remote, CanadaRESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:

• Create scripts, tools, and procedures for operations by:
• Designing and implementing automation for limited downtime deployment and maintenance.
• Lead operations of digital services in production by:
• Managing configuration and credentials for the production environment;
• Planning and managing maintenance activities; and
• Managing database upgrades and migrations, backups, recoveries, etc.
• Provide operations support for implementation and enhancement of digital services by:
• Creating templates and patterns for application deployments and CI/CD pipelines; and Creating scripts and tools to automate the establishment of environments for development and testing.
• Creating tools, scripts and processes that will enable application teams to have better observability of the application through monitoring and telemetry tools
• Support delivery teams in adopting best practices by:
• Providing operations support for early and frequent integration testing, security scans, system testing, and performance and load testing; and Providing operations support for early and frequent delivery to end-users in limited availability launches (Alphas and Betas).

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Math or Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proposed resource has agreed to an Enhanced Security Check upon contract award.
• Experience Installing and Administering BuildMaster.
• Experience Installing and Administrating Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server.
• Experience using BuildMaster.
• Experience using Team Foundation Server and/or Azure DevOps Server
• Experience with Azure RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience with containers through RedHat OpenShift.
• Experience with creating and maintaining BuildMaster workflows including any configuration components
• Experience with creating workflows that require no application downtime
• Experience with in-place upgrades of Team Foundation Server and/or Azure Devops Server.
• Experience with upgrading BuildMaster from one version to another.
• Experience within a Public Sector organization.
• Experience with load balancing
• Experience with on-call.

NOTES ON LOCATION:
The DevOps Specialist will primarily work remotely; however, the DevOps Specialist may be required to attend meetings or work sessions in Edmonton on reasonable notice from the Province. At the time of providing such notice, the Province will advise of the expected duration of any such meetings or work sessions.
