Were currently on the lookout for a Senior Designer to join a creative agency that focused on social causes and community engagement based in Ottawa. In this role, youll develop and oversee creative solutions that meet diverse client needs. This is a hands-on position, meaning you'll be actively involved in crafting concepts for advertising and communications campaigns-from initial ideas to final execution. Success in this role requires a deep understanding of visual communication, graphic design principles, and layout techniques. You can differentiate between creative storytelling and advertising and know how to design for both. If you enjoy bringing multi-channel campaigns to life-whether print, web, social, out-of-home, or video-you'll find this role exciting. You have the ability to take a concept from brainstorming to production-ready assets seamlessly. Key Responsibilities Develop creative concepts and oversee execution from ideation to final delivery Design original pieces, including illustrations and infographics, and adapt stock imagery when needed Apply core typography and layout techniques to enhance visual storytelling Generate and refine ideas for digital, social, web, print, and out-of-home advertising Ensure brand consistency across all creative materials Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deadlines Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh ideas and approaches Prioritize tasks, manage shifting deadlines, and work efficiently under tight timelines Be receptive to constructive feedback and iterate accordingly Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices Track and manage project time effectively Qualifications College or university diploma in design, or equivalent professional experience 5+ years of proven experience in a creative role with hands on technical skills using Adobe Creative Suite and other tools as required A portfolio showcasing a range of work, with clear attribution of your role on each project Nice to have experience with 2D animation and video editing (Premiere, After Effects)
