Sr Contracts & Procurement Manager

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Contracts & Procurement Manager to join our team in Toronto, Ontario. In this Contract role, you will play a key part in managing sourcing initiatives, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with organizational goals. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and deliver measurable value in procurement operations.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-scale negotiations, including drafting contracts, conducting market analysis, and performing financial evaluations.
  • Oversee supplier onboarding processes and ensure smooth integration into procurement systems.
  • Manage all aspects of contract lifecycles, including initiating new agreements and handling renewals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to support supplier sourcing initiatives.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate procurement outcomes and strategies.
  • Supervise small to medium tail suppliers throughout their lifecycle, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Drive improved commercial outcomes through effective sourcing strategies and negotiations.
  • Ensure procurement activities meet agreed-upon organizational objectives and key performance indicators.
  • Deliver projects within established timelines and budgets while maintaining compliance with regulatory and statutory requirement
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in contract & procurement negotiations, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proficiency in managing procurement categories and understanding associated supplier landscapes.
  • Strong expertise in negotiating commercial terms, fees, and mitigating risks through effective contract management.
  • In-depth knowledge of enterprise risk management and standard contractual terms and conditions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications in procurement, continuous improvement, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Demonstrated project management capabilities, either through formal qualifications or extensive experience.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to support cross-functional collaboration.
