What You'll Be Doing
As a member of the Global Employee and Labour Relations, Policies and Programs (GELR, P&P) team you will provide guidance, and specialized knowledge, to support the management and administration of the global mobility policy in the jurisdictions in which CIBC operates. You will also provide support to the immigration programs in Canada and the US. As a Sr. Consultant, Global Mobility and Immigration, you will be responsible to provide highly specialized and strategic advice, consultation and expertise along with day-to-day coordination on enterprise-wide domestic and international mobility assignments as well as ensuring compliance with the Global Mobility and applicable Foreign Worker Policies.
In addition you will also provide support and expertise and will participate in corporate initiatives as a subject matter expert.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. How you'll succeedStrategic Support - Support the Director, Global Mobility and Immigration, GELR, P&P and other team members with strategic initiatives in relation to global mobility and immigration, as well as in support of other HR and organization-wide initiatives. Demonstrate strong critical thinking, organizational and leadership skills to effectively and efficiently build and deliver effective implementation and change management plans, as required.
Advice and Consultation - Provide strategic global mobility and immigration advice and consultation to our global business partners and HR professionals on global mobility and immigration matters in accordance with established timelines. Exercise sound judgment and discretion, and escalate complex inquiries to the Director, Global Mobility Services and Immigration.
Relationship Management - Effectively engage and collaborate with various teams within GELR, P&P, as well as key stakeholders across the organization, to develop and deliver critical elements associated with our global mobility and immigration programs and associated strategic initiatives, as required. Support the management of vendor relationships and oversee funding requirements, invoicing as required. Operate within the established framework to deliver a coordinated and seamless experience for business partners and relocating employees.
Program Management - Support the Director, Global Mobility and Immigration with the review, development, implementation and sustainment of innovative and effective global mobility and immigration policies, programs and procedures across all jurisdictions in which CIBC operates, as applicable, to ensure alignment with CIBC strategy, business and legislative requirements. Ensure our global mobility and immigration policies, programs, procedures and strategies, contribute to operational effectiveness and enable a positive team member and stakeholder experience. Provide administrative support to the global mobility and immigration programs.
Analytics - Leverage key data and metrics to analyze, and identify trends, gaps and deficiencies and, in partnership with key stakeholders to proactively address and identify trends, gaps and deficiencies. Support the coordination of information management activities, including ensuring the CIBC and Me portal (and other microsite) content is updated to align with changing and new information in alignment with our global mobility and immigration programs and associated strategic initiatives.
