About the Role:
As a Senior Communications Strategist at Operatic, you'll lead high-impact communications strategies for both healthcare and consumer clients, with a focus on influencer marketing and public relations. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Communications, this role offers the right candidate a plethora of opportunities to shine, be it through process refinement, strategy development, client-facing engagements or end-to-end execution of high-profile and impact campaigns.
This role is ideal for an experienced candidate who's growth-minded with an entrepreneurial spirit. It's fast-paced, and requires someone who understands the rapidly evolving landscape we play in, and has the drive to thrive in a bustling agency environment.
What You'll Be Doing:
Process Implementation & Improvement
Develop strategic frameworks to deliver high-calibre influencer, PR and other communication campaigns
Define success metrics and establishing performance benchmarks and measurement/ tracking systems for the services under your purview
Create customizable reporting templates to showcase our clients results
Strategic Leadership & Client Advisory
Develop comms strategies across the Agency's entire portfolio of clients with an emphasis on Influencer Marketing and PR
Evaluate campaign outcomes, translating insights into strategic recommendations and optimizing future programs for the services in your purview, including but not limited to influencer marketing, public relations and earned media
Act as a senior strategic advisor to client, providing counsel in your area of expertise
Support agency-wide growth by contributing strategic expertise through the pitch life-cycle, helping shape integrated influencer, PR, and earned media approaches that align with client objectives and agency capabilities
Contribute to agency-wide strategic thinking, helping to ensure that the Agency has an understanding of our communications services
Influencer Marketing Strategy
Develop and lead influencer strategies across, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with all other campaign initiatives, including but not exclusive to paid media efforts, organic social, and PR
Identify relevant influencers for ongoing campaigns and manage relationship from end-to-end, including contracts, briefs, content approvails, and ensuring regulatory standards are met
Stay current on influencer trends, platform changes, and compliance considerations
Have working knowledge of influencer marketing platforms and software
Public Relations & Earned Media
Develop audience-centric PR strategies across the Agency's portfolio of clients
Oversee the development of campaign content needs, ensuring they meet regulatory standards for the verticals we work within
Establish and leverage media contacts to maximize relevant exposure and identify opportunities to elevate client visibility through earned channels
Healthcare & Regulated Communications
Apply healthcare communications experience to ensure strategies align with regulatory, medical, and compliance requirements
Collaborate closely with medical, legal, and regulatory partners to ensure accuracy and risk mitigation
Support disease awareness, corporate reputation, and professional audience communications where applicable
Team-First Mentality

Participate in team-wide events, and share expertise across multi-functional teams
Lead by example, and review and elevate your own work quality, ensuring strategic clarity and executional excellence across all deliverables under your purview
What You'll Bring To The Role:
Education & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field
7+ years of experience in communications, marketing, or public relations, in an agency setting
Demonstrated experience leading influencer and PR strategies for complex, high-profile brands
Healthcare or regulated industry experience is a strong asset
Technical & Strategic Expertise
Influencer marketing strategy, activation, and performance measurement
Media relations, earned media strategy, and reputation management
Strategic messaging and narrative development
Strong understanding of integrated communications ecosystems
Familiarity with influencer platforms, social listening tools, and PR monitoring software
Nice To Have:
Experience developing social strategies that support influencer and PR initiatives
Experience with email marketing
Experience with Paid Social - leading execution across platforms like Meta, TikTok, Reddit, LinkedIn and Pinterest

This role has an annual salary range of $80,000-$100,000 CAD, commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
