As a team, we work to deliver value for our clients every day.Equity Trading System Development in TD SecuritiesThe TDS Equity Trading Systems team is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the TDS Canadian Equities algorithmic trading platform. This platform is composed of in-house and vendor technologies providing trading and routing algos, market-connectivity, market-data processing and distribution, securities pricing, and risk management. We work closely with the front-office teams to expand their businesses by enabling and implementing new trading strategies and additional market access. The team is currently involved in large initiatives working to modernize and increase the capacity of our infrastructure and is expanding to allow us to leverage these improvements by building out our next generation of trading technologyThere\'s room to grow in all of it.Job RequirementsWhat can you bring to TD? Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

• University or Post-Graduate Degree.
• 3 years+ experience in server-side C++ development on Linux
• Experience developing real-time, multi-threaded, distributed applications
• Experience using Solace or similar messaging infrastructure for creating distributed applications
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with an ability to react quickly and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong Unix scripting and SQL skills
• Good understanding of real-time trading systems and experience with the FIX protocol
• Good understanding of and experience with market-data processing, such as: experience consuming data from Exegy feed handlers, using MAMA APIs for market-data processing, or exchange-native data feeds.
• Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
• Experience with C#/.Net real-time GUI/web development would be an asset

Hours37.5Job DetailsAbout This RoleWe are looking for someone armed with a strong tool-kit to develop and maintain technical solutions that adhere to engineering and architectural design principles while meeting business requirements. You\'ll also provide technical expertise with a focus on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security. This mandate includes planning, evaluating, recommending, designing, operationalizing, and supporting solutions in compliance with enterprise and industry standards. • Maintain and enhance components of the existing real-time trading and order routing system
• Participate in the design and implementation of a replacement order routing and management system using modern messaging technologies
• Provide third level support for the trading systems
• Properly document and test changes and follow the mandated project and development processes
• Work with business representatives to clarify and finalize business requirements and provide input to the overall technical direction of the application
• Work to improve the supportability and maintainability of the applications
