Are you an experienced IT professional with strong expertise in reporting tools and API security handling?
Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a Sr. Business System Analyst / API Security / Akamai professional who will play a vital role in requirements management, process mapping, and security analysis across the organization's API ecosystem. The successful candidate will help design and enhance API security frameworks, drive integration processes, and align business needs with secure technology solutions.
Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering, documentation, and management for API security initiatives.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate security and system requirements into actionable business solutions.
• Develop and maintain API security strategy, roadmaps, and lifecycle processes aligned with Akamai or NoName platforms.
• Analyze and map business processes to identify inefficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support API delivery and lifecycle improvements, including implementing "shift-left" API security approaches.
• Drive process and tooling enhancements to improve alerting, vulnerability tracking, and API risk management.
• Build analytical models and reports to support decision-making, KPIs, and performance monitoring.
• Develop support guides and technical documentation for API platform integrations.
• Participate in automation and integration of API security processes to improve efficiency.
• Manage multiple deliverables and deadlines effectively while ensuring strong cross-team communication.

Desired Skill Set:

• 5 years of experience in API security handling (Akamai or NoName API Security preferred).
• 5 years of experience in business analysis and requirement management.
• 5 years of experience with process mapping and improvement methodologies.
• 5 years of experience with API security products similar to Akamai.
• Strong understanding of API security controls and OWASP API Security Top 10.
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to business stakeholders effectively.
• Hands-on experience in analyzing systems, identifying gaps, and driving solutions.
• Strong organization and time management skills, capable of handling concurrent deliverables.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau (2 years).
• Experience with NoName API Security automation and integration.
• Knowledge of database analysis and SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and system analysis frameworks.
• Relevant API Security certifications (Akamai or equivalent).
