Why this role is important? Sr Analyst – Pharmacy Procurement Reporting to the Manager, Pharmacy Procurement the incumbent supports all data management systems – CRx, Kroll KCM, MMS, VMS and SAP – for pricing and product listings, Dedicated Supplier Product (DSP) maintenance, deals and allowances, vendor information, etc. In addition, the incumbent will coordinate their work with other team members of the Pharmacy Procurement Team while assisting in the general administration/management of product inventory and supply issues and implementation of specific programs to maximize sales, gross margin dollars and improve market share. What You'll Do:

  • Perform all tasks related to master data maintenance across the Enterprise (including Listings, DSP Changes management, and vendor pricing changes) and support the Analysts in their execution of these day to day tasks to ensure adherence to documented processes and controls.
  • Review, analyze and validate external price files for accuracy
  • Perform and manage complex decision making and activities (e.g. mass data updates)
  • Support the team in identifying production issues related to day to day management of pharmacy master data in all data management systems
  • Review and analyze system discrepancy and data quality reports to ensure to ensure accurate master data between all integrated systems and updates are made as required
  • Liaise with Enterprise Business Services, Finance, and Pharmaceutical Partnerships teams in the preparation of quarterly reporting required for store billing, invoice discrepancies and other ad-hoc requests when required
  • Liaise with vendors to analyze and prepare quarterly wholesaler reports to be provided to Finance for review
  • Monitor and liaise with inventory management department to ensure prompt delivery of pharmaceutical products and actively manage inventory supply issues.
  • Support various internal teams by providing data from all data management systems we manage
  • Perform complex vendor setup/maintenance
  • Prepare and execute all Pharmacy Vendor Recalls for SDM, Medi System and LCL stores ensuring applicable internal teams (Clinical, Pharmacy Operations, Enterprise Operations, Pharmaceutical Partnerships, SDM QA) are involved in the process
    • As recalls may occur outside business hours, fully trained Analysts will be required to support the recall through an on-call after hours process
  • Support the Business Process Expert and Manager, Pharmacy Procurement with any system or data analysis required to manage any system or data related inquiries
What You'll Need:
  • 2 to 3 years of Business and/or Finance Analysis experience (ideally in the pharmaceutical or retail pharmacy industry)
  • Post-secondary education equivalent to a university degree in business, economics, statistics
  • Strong analytical ability, problem solving and attention to detail
  • SAP technical knowledge is an asset
  • Requires an understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments.
  • Professional manner, tact, diplomacy and discretion in dealing with vendors and colleagues including senior management.
  • Draws on a number of known options to solve problems and to develop improvements.
  • Computer skills to produce effective, spreadsheets, reports, documents and presentations, as required. Database management.
  • Microstrategy or equivalent experience is considered an asset
  • Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles.
  • Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, or over the telephone.
  • Business acumen - demonstrated understanding of quality standards relative to pharmaceutical products and knowledge of provincial formulary guidelines and drug scheduling
