This position can be located in Calgary or Saskatoon

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Integrated Business Planning, as part of the IBP team you will be responsible for the development of the Cost to Serve forecast and supporting reports. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across numerous teams, including Transportation, Distribution & Logistics (TDL), Commercial, Sales, Finance and IT, supporting the monthly Integrated Business Planning process.

What you will do:

  • Own the interactions with cross-functional stakeholders required to develop the monthly and annual NPK Cost to Serve forecast
  • Accountable for the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards to support the analysis and measurement of the Cost to Serve forecast
  • Responsible for the continuous improvement of the cost to serve forecasting processes & tools to increase efficiency & accuracy
  • Provide volume plan inputs to support condition rate management, including analysis as needed
  • Champion the use of the SAP-IBP planning system - maintain quality and completeness of data and provide user support for the planning system as well as collaboration & reporting tools
  • Develop strong relationships with TDL, TDL Finance, Margin Accounting, Commercial, Sales & IT as a key contact in the planning process
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for IBP processes
  • Support the monthly Demand Planning process, including generating monthly long-term baseline demand forecasts using statistical models
  • Deliver executive summary forecast reporting and key metrics for recurring, cross-functional IBP-facilitated meetings
  • Support development of the integrated business plan through tracking and challenging assumptions, risks and opportunities
What you will bring:
  • Post-secondary education with 7+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility; netback accounting experience would be considered an asset
  • Passion for data and problem solving, driven by a high level of curiosity
  • Ability to identify complex problems & drill down to critical components to understand key drivers
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical, critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts in a simple, concise, and easy to understand way
  • Strong relationship building skills; able to drive cross-functional alignment, work collaboratively and effectively interact with other core business functions
  • Significant experience with process documentation and a mindset for continuous improvement
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing tight deadlines & competing priorities with limited direct supervision
  • Advanced skills in all Microsoft applications with a high skill level in Excel
  • Experience working in SAP IBP, MSS, SAP, Power Query and/or Power BI, and SharePoint would be considered an asset
