Robert Half currently has a short-term contract / temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic, innovative team. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Responsibilities

- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Other projects as necessary

- Provide analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Arrange quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Realize compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards

- Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

- Efficient in ERP systems

- 3+ years of overall general accounting experience

- The ideal candidate for this position can demonstrate proficiency in financial reporting systems

- Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must

- Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

- Ability to complete multiple tasks and projects within deadlines

- Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Good understanding of Income Tax Accounting

- Earlier work involving variance analysis

- Well-founded grasp of payroll

- Command of Sage 100

- Sage 300 experience

- Solid understanding of Sage 50

- Wide ranging experience with Bank Account Reconciliation

- Previous experience working with financial reporting

- Experience with Microsoft Excel

- Quality experience with trial balance

- QuickBooks experience preferred

- General familiarity with union payroll

- Practical knowledge of Prepare Trial Balance

- Skills in cash flow management
