The innovative team at Robert Half is in need of a Senior Accountant with terrific experience and know-how for a short-term contract / temporary opportunity in the Restaurants & Catering industry. Working as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for account analysis and reconciliations, financial statement preparation and consolidation, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Your responsibilities

- Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests

- Other projects as required

- Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- An endless desire to improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Participate in various department-wide initiatives

- Analyze financial results (benchmarks, trends, performance metrics)

- Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
- Experience in SOX control execution/documentation

- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

- This position is for candidates with financial reporting systems proficiency

- Deep understanding of account reconciliation

- General ledger experience preferred

- Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation

- Microsoft Excel experience

- Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation experience

- Distinguished analytical, quantitative and social skills

- Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

- Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines

- 2+ years of overall general accounting experience

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

- Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates

- Skilled with ERP systems

- Strong organization skills
