Our innovative and evolving client in the Ottawa, Ontario area is looking to add a forward thinking and highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to their team. Our client is looking for a Senior Financial Accountant who has exceptional attention to detail, thrives in a fast paced environment and is strong communicator. The overall objective of the Senior Financial Accountant is to provide financial accounting support to the Manager, Financial Reporting.

This is a permanent, on-site role.

Responsibilities:
- Preparing and consolidating financial statements
- Monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
- General ledger and journal entries
- Team building and contribution
- Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews
- Analyze performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
- Deposits, Trusts, Revenue, Loans, Suspense accounts reconciliation
- Administer Ad-hoc projects as necessary

Qualifications:
- 5+ years of overall general finance and/or accounting experience
- CPA Professional designation
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
- Brilliant Microsoft Excel working knowledge
- Highly organized
- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
- Strong knowledge of SQL and VBA or similar is preferred
- Strong analytical capabilities and discernment
- Excellent time management skills
- Self-starter and strong ethical standards
