Job Description

Robert Half Management Resources is the worldwide leader in specialized consulting and staffing services for senior-level accounting, finance, and business systems professionals.

Our central Ottawa client is currently looking for a Senior Accountant for approximately 6 weeks with the possibility of extension. Reporting to the Controller, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for:

\xc2\xb7 Performing the full cycle accounting function, AR, AP, GL reconciliations

\xc2\xb7 Preparing reconciliations for tenant payments, deposits, and banking

\xc2\xb7 Performing month end close activity and identifying any discrepancies

\xc2\xb7 CAM expenses allocations and reconciliation

\xc2\xb7 Ensuring accurate allocation of prepaid expenses, with ownership of the AP function

\xc2\xb7 Creating spreadsheets and providing insight on the numbers

\xc2\xb7 Other duties as required

The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will have the following qualifications:

\xc2\xb7 CPA Accounting designation or equivalent work experience

\xc2\xb7 Experience in the property management/residential property industry

\xc2\xb7 Strong technical accounting capabilities

\xc2\xb7 Excellent MS Excel Skills utilizing V-Lookup, and pivot tables

\xc2\xb7 Ability to work independently and as a self-starter

\xc2\xb7 Strong oral and written communication skills
