There\'s currently a long-term contract / temporary opportunity at Robert Half for an experienced Senior Accountant with an eye for accuracy and a knack for solving complex problems. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. What you get to do every day

Month-End Close:
- Assist in the preparation and review of monthly financial statements.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

Cost Accounting:
- Manage and maintain cost accounting records.
- Perform cost variance analysis to identify areas of improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline cost control processes.

Accounts Payable (AP):
- Oversee the AP process, including invoice processing, approval workflows, and vendor payments.
- Resolve discrepancies and issues with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve payment disputes.
- Prepare and send customer statements and reminders.

Financial Reporting:
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and support.

ERP Software:
- Utilize ERP software to record financial transactions, generate reports, and streamline processes.
- Train and support team members in using ERP software effectively.

Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

- Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification is a plus but not required
- Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proficiency in using ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and month-end close processes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.
