The Role: SQL Software Developer

The Team: We are a cross-functional, agile team that develops and maintains cross-reference data providing value-added backend vendor data to our clients and Front-end teams.

The Impact: As a Senior SQL Developer, you will play a key role in the continued development and improvement of our applications. We need someone who is creative, talented, and motivated, with a passion for solving difficult problems. Much of our time is spent developing new capabilities or reworking and enhancing legacy capabilities, so you must have strong design skills to create robust solutions.

Responsibilities: As a Senior SQL Developer, you will play a critical role in delivering valuable data solutions to clients and feature teams. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend vendor data products, crafting high-quality SQL designs, code, and unit tests that are efficient and testable. You will work with large data sets from vendors, collaborate with financial analysts and data specialists to build mappings in our cross-reference system. You will also be responsible for keeping up with new technologies and integrating them into the technical stack, mentoring junior developers, continuously building your own skills, and partnering with feature teams to bring client visions to life.

What We\'re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or demonstrated projects if self-taught

5+ years of development for relational database applications.

Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures

Strong experience with SQL databases

Ability to work independently or in a team-oriented environment

Strong troubleshooting skills

Experience working in an Agile Development environment

Preferred Qualifications:

Understanding of test driven development

Knowledge of the Financial domain

tSQLt experience

Understanding of RESTful APIs with Swagger/OpenAPI specifications using Node.js

Experience with SQL performance tuning and optimization
