Role Summary:
Our BC Branch is looking for experienced Sprinkler Service Technicians to join the team to complete workout throughout the predetermined geographically area at our clients' sites. A Sprinkler Service Technician specializes in the areas of maintenance, Inspections, repairs, and installation of sprinkler systems. The technician is crucial to ensuring that fire sprinkler systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with local codes and standards.
Key Job Responsibilities:
Installation: Install new sprinkler systems according to the design specifications and ensure they meet all local, provincial, and national codes and standards.
Inspections and Maintenance: Perform regular Inspection and maintenance checks on existing sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly and meeting their intended functionality.
Repair: Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair issues with sprinkler systems to ensure system integrity. Availability for Emergency on-call emergency service
Troubleshooting: Root cause identification of sprinkler system failures, taking the appropriate actions to rectify the problem.
Customer Service: Provides excellent customer service by answering questions, explaining the work being performed, and offering maintenance tips.
Documentation: Maintains accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, and installations. Ensures all documentation is in compliance with AHJ requirements.
Safety Compliance: Ensures all work is performed in accordance with Company, Provincial and local safety standards.
Inventory Management: Keeps track of inventory levels of spare parts and equipment
Other duties as required.
Job Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience working with fire sprinkler systems.
Sprinkler Fitter Journeyman's Certificate (Red Seal). Backflow certification and ITM (Inspection testing and maintenance course),
Proficiency in using hand and power tools, diagnostic and testing equipment, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and fix issues efficiently.
Ability to scrutinize project specifications and drawings meticulously to ensure accurate estimations.
Precision and care in performing maintenance and repair tasks to ensure system reliability and integrity.
In-depth knowledge of fire codes, regulations, and standards (; NFPA/NBC Building codes).
Has an ability to learn mobile service work order platform and inspection software
Excellent communication, negotiation, and positive attitude.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieving targets.
Strong knowledge of computer based applications (Microsoft Office Suite etc.)
Must have a valid driver's license
