Overview


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fitter and apprentice to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining various sprinkler systems, structural components, and mechanical equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and industry standards. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of projects across diverse environments, including manufacturing facilities, construction sites, and maintenance operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced setting while contributing to high-quality infrastructure development.

Duties



Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately assemble components and systems. Use a wide range of hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading machines to fabricate and install piping systems, fire sprinkler systems, and pipeline infrastructure. Measure materials accurately using calipers, schematics, and basic math skills to ensure proper fitment and alignment. Operate rigging equipment safely for lifting and positioning heavy components on construction sites or manufacturing floors. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with engineers and project managers to follow schematics and technical instructions for complex assemblies. Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems post-installation to ensure ongoing functionality. Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues using your mechanical knowledge to identify root causes quickly. Support construction activities by installing plumbing systems, pipe supports, or structural elements as required. Follow all safety regulations related to construction site work, welding practices, and equipment operation to prevent accidents or injuries.

Experience



Experience as a Fitter is a within manufacturing or construction environments is not essential as will train the right person. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, NFPA codes & standards related to piping. Familiarity with installation fire sprinkler fitting, pipeline assembly, plumbing installation, tube bending processes, and rigging operations. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measurement devices. Previous work on construction sites or manufacturing facilities involving assembly of complex mechanical systems is highly desirable. Basic math skills necessary for precise measurements and calculations during assembly tasks. Knowledge of safety protocols specific to welding practices, construction environments, and maintenance procedures is required.
