Job Summary:

Linkletter Farms is seeking a reliable and team-oriented Sprayer Operator. Responsibilities include operating and maintaining spraying equipment to apply substances like pesticides, herbicides, fertilizers, or coatings to various surfaces. This role often involves tasks related to both the application and the equipment itself. A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and adherence to safety regulations are essential for this role.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Follow standard operating procedures when performing on-the-farm activities as directed by your supervisor. Adhere to health and safety standards to minimize workplace risks and follow food safety protocols. Keep the farm and its properties tidy. Operate and maintain the spaying equipment and ensure they are clean and in good working condition. Conduct daily checks before and after use. Preparing and mixing chemicals. This involves understanding chemical handling procedures, mixing ratios, and safety precautions. Applying chemicals safely and effectively. Ensuring proper coverage, avoiding drift, and adhering to regulations and label instructions. Maintaining accurate records. Responsibilities are not limited to this guideline.

Qualifications:

Must have a clean driving record and valid driver's license Minimum of 2 years driving experience

Must have a Class A Pesticide Applicator Certificate*
Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Linkletter, Prince Edward Island

Benefits and Compensation Information:

Hours of work are dependent on production. Flexibility to work on days, evenings and Saturdays would be required. Linkletter Farms offers competitive wages, health packages and pension plans to permanent employees. Top of the line equipment to work with and all the tools you need to be successful! Range $22 to $25 per hour. This is a temporary position with the possibility of extension.
