Thermo Homes Insulators is seeking a person to fill the position of Spray Foam Technician.

Originally founded in 2009, Thermo Homes Inc is an insulation company based in HRM, Nova Scotia. Our services include the installation of fibreglass batt, vapour barrier, spray foam, cellulose, as well as air-sealing. We work within the Annapolis Valley, HRM, the South Shore, and Colchester County areas in Nova Scotia . Our clients include do-it-yourself homeowners, residential builders, and large commercial enterprises. We have a total staff of 25 people and are continuing to grow. About the job:

The qualified candidate will be a team player, self-motivated, and willing to work flexible hours as needed. This work requires demanding physical labour and will require travel throughout Western Nova Scotia. The Spray Foam Technician position is the senior position in Thermo Homes Insulators Ltd.

Spray Foam Technician Team member on an insulation crew, must be trustworthy, reliable and able to work as an integral part of the team.

Work Performed:

Work in a safe manner, using proper personal protective equipment.

Spray foam application in basements, attics, exterior walls in new and existing construction.

Set up ladders and staging, cover windows, doors & electrical boxes, remove excess spray foam (electric trimmer & hand scraper), and clean up.

Help hang vapour barrier, apply air sealing caulking, and tape seams in vapour barrier.

Ability to travel to job sites in a company vehicle, from The Annapolis Valley to HRM.

Non-regular hours: The average work-day is 8 hours of working time. As a result of travel-time to job sites, some days are longer, although some small jobs will occasionally allow for short days. The applicant should be prepared for flexible working hours.

Education/Work Experience: Certified spray foam technician with minimum 1-year experience.

Job Type: Full-time

This job is paid hourly based on experience and certifications. A safety boot allowance of $200.00 per year is a part of the benefits package. Company uniform is also provided. Thermo Homes offers a competitive health benefits plan to all employees after they have passed their probationary period.
