At Turf Suppliers Canada, we specialize in supplying and installing premium artificial turf for sports fields, parks, and recreational spaces. We are currently seeking a skilled Sports Field and Construction Estimator to support our bidding process for government-funded projects across British Columbia and beyond.

Position Summary:

We're looking for a detail-oriented estimator to track and respond to artificial turf tenders posted on BCBids and other public bidding platforms. This person will play a key role in identifying opportunities, preparing competitive bid packages, and supporting the growth of our public sector portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Search and monitor BCBids and other public procurement portals for artificial turf project opportunities Review tender documents, technical specifications, and drawings Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates, including materials, labor, equipment, and subtrades Source quotes from suppliers and subcontractors Collaborate with our internal team to gather required documentation for bid submissions Track bid submissions and maintain a database of upcoming and completed bids Ensure compliance with all bid requirements and deadlines
Qualifications:

Experience in construction estimating, preferably in artificial turf, landscaping, or sports field construction Familiarity with BCBids and other government procurement platforms Strong understanding of estimating processes, bid documents, and project scopes Proficient with Microsoft Excel and/or estimating software Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Assets (Nice to Have):

Prior experience with government or municipal projects Background in turf installation or landscape construction Knowledge of local pricing and construction standards in BC
Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate or per-project compensation based on experience, open to discussion and negotiation.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
