Job Description

Rocks & Rings Instructor:

Candidates will visit elementary schools and instruct students about the sport of curling. Teach various classes with fun games and activities. All training and equipment provided. Bookings vary week to week, schedule can be flexible for days of the week (however must be available between 8:00-3:30). Need a minimum of one full day a week.

Rocks & Rings Equipment Rental:

Candidates will deliver and pick up the equipment from schools in their assigned region. Teachers and schools will receive our FloorCurl equipment along with programming cards with games, activities, and drills to help share the excitement of learning about curling. Equipment will need to be cleaned and have maintenance done on it, the day of pick up between school visits.

Delivery and pick-up of curling equipment once a week using your own vehicle and travelling to various schools in your home region. Thoroughly cleaning equipment after pick-up before delivering to the next school. Instruction at various elementary schools in the assigned region. Approximately 7 hour day including 30 minutes set up, 30 minutes clean up and 1 hour of breaks throughout the day. Mileage paid for any schools outside of Halifax

Skills/Qualifications Required:

Ability to work independently Ability to work with children Valid driver's license and car Good organization and time management skills

Special Requirements:

Access to a vehicle is a requirement for this position (on the days that you will be working) Be able to travel to schools outside of home region (compensated for travel) Must have a police check completed before starting in schools
