One of our major Banking clients is looking for a Sponsorship Project Coordinator - Marketing
Length: 12 Months contract with the possibility of extension and conversion to permanent employment
Location: Montreal, QC - Hybrid (2-3 days from office)
Working hours: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm + night and weekend on request

ROLE MANDATE:
Under the direction of the Senior Manager, North American Sponsorship, the Coordinator, Sponsorships is responsible for all assigned project management tasks supporting the North American sponsorship portfolio, ensuring that initiatives are well-executed, on-brand, delivered on time and within budget. Other duties include assistance in sponsorship activation support, general administrative tasks and meeting coordination.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES (including but are not limited to):
A. Sponsorship Coordination - 60%

  • Coordinates sponsorship strategies, within the context of the brand and business needs, and with special consideration to brand management, reputation management, diversity, community and regional integration, Canada and US board commitments and client requests
  • Assists with all aspects of sponsorship activations
  • Prepares briefing materials as needed for executives and other internal partners
  • Actively shares and collaborates with North American sponsorship team to expand \xe2\x80\x9cbest practices\xe2\x80\x9d and successful strategies
B. Project Coordination - 15%
  • Participates in regular property and team status meetings and assist with reporting progress vs. plan on assigned campaigns as requested
  • Facilitates approval by appropriate parties and manages timelines and development of sponsorship tactics
  • Works with internal partners (social, brand advertising, community giving) to facilitate timely delivery of all materials
  • Facilitates tracking of legal, compliance and marketing reviews
  • Ensures all materials are produced on-time and on-budget
C. Relationship Coordination - 20%
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders including key partners and organizations
  • Supports senior executive requests for hospitality and high-end client entertaining
D. Analysis & Measurement - 5%
  • Assists in oversight and management of Canadian sponsorships budget
  • Monitors results and produces reports for all properties in assigned portfolio
AUTHORITIES:
To deliver on these accountabilities the incumbent must have the following authorities:
  • Guide sponsorship marketing materials to the adherence of brand guidelines and standards
  • Monitor and advise partners with regards to budget management
CROSS FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
This position will regularly interface with the following teams/individuals:
  • Sponsorships Team (Toronto/Montreal/Chicago/Milwaukee)

  • Community Affairs
  • Advertising Team
  • Creative Services
  • Merchandising
  • Line of Business Marketing Managers
  • Market Research
KNOWLEDGE:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years sponsorship or relevant experience
  • Business, marketing degree, diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of sponsorship marketing principles as well as knowledge of the marketing, advertising and/or communications development process
  • Solid understanding of analytical tools and approaches
  • Budget management experience an asset
  • Team and/or creative agency experience a plus
SKILLS:
  • Self-starter, organized with attention to detail
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strong interpersonal skills essential
  • Ability to manage relationships across different levels of the organization
  • Ability to make strong oral and written presentations and contribute effectively to a team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
  • This position requires good knowledge of English to interact, support and/or provide services to clients, employees and/or partners who do not speak French and who are located in Quebec and/or outside of Quebec.
