Position Summary





Reporting to the Director, Sponsorship, this position is responsible for strategic relationship management of corporate sponsors for the Calgary Stampede which includes a diverse set of clients at multiple levels of investment. The Sponsor Account Manager is responsible for managing, developing, and guiding execution of partnership programs with corporate clients. This role will also support in securing new corporate sponsorship with the development of strategic sales strategies, prospecting, and relationship management.

Responsibilities





Responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:


Lead a portfolio of diverse, high-profile partnerships -- from idea to execution -- ensuring sponsors feel valued, heard, and inspired. Build strong, trusted relationships with clients at all levels, becoming their go-to advisor and advocate within the Stampede. Juggle multiple projects, deadlines, and activations with ease -- keeping big-picture strategy in mind while managing the details. Negotiate and manage agreements with a sharp financial lens, always seeking ways to maximize value for both partners and the Stampede. Collaborate across teams, departments, and volunteer committees to bring innovative activations and memorable sponsor experiences to life. Prospect and pitch new business, researching industries and categories to uncover fresh opportunities. Create compelling post-event reports and insights that showcase ROI and build the case for renewals and expansion.

Qualifications





The ideal candidate will be proactive, optimistic and have the ability to multitask, as well as the following:


5+ years of proven success in sponsorship, partnerships, or client account management. A natural relationship-builder who thrives on connecting with people, from day-to-day client contacts to senior decision makers. Excellent communicator and presenter, with the ability to inspire confidence and get buy-in. Skilled multitasker who can prioritize and adapt quickly, even when the pace picks up. Strong business sense -- you know how to negotiate, identify growth opportunities, and deliver value. Strategic thinker with a creative streak, who can balance partner goals with organizational objectives. Positive, energetic, and ready to embrace the unique rhythm of the festival industry (with peak seasons that demand your all).
