Job Summary

The Team

The dynamic South Peace CYMH team consists of 1 Team Leader with 6 Clinicians in Dawson Creek and 1 Clinician based in Chetwynd. This team is co-located with other Ministry of Children and Family Development services, works closely with a contracted psychiatrist, and is one of the recently announced Pathway to Hope locations. The team is excited to be working collaboratively to establish an Integrated Child and Youth team in partnership with the School District, Health Authority, Family Smart and local Indigenous communities.

The Role

This impactful role manages the local delivery of mental health services for children, youth, and families, and provides guidance, mentorship and clinical supervision to a dedicated and collaborative professional team. The CYMH Team Leader is part of a broader leadership network and has significant influence over the experience and outcome of services to vulnerable children, youth and families.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience Requirements

Master's Degree in Social Work (Clinical Specialty or equivalent training/education), Educational Counselling, Clinical Psychology, Child and Youth Care, or equivalent. +

NOTE:

If this education was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
Minimum of 3 years experience in the provision of mental health services to children, youth and their families.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:

Six or more months of experience leading staff in a supervisory capacity. Applicants who self-identify as First Nations, Metis or Inuit with the required combination of education and experience.

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.

An eligibility list may be established to fill current and/or future permanent vacancies.
