is a clinician-owned and operated private pediatric practice in Ottawa providing speech-language pathology (SLP) and occupational therapy (OT) services to babies, children, and adolescents since 2009. We are currently seeking a
part-time bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist
to provide
in-person assessment and therapy
within our welcoming and collaborative clinic environment.
The successful candidate will work in both
1:1 SLP therapy
and
joint SLP-OT sessions
, supporting children with a wide range of developmental needs. Our team is warm, supportive, and highly collaborative, and mentorship is available for clinicians looking to deepen their clinical skills in a private practice setting.
Responsibilities & Duties
Provide speech and language assessment, therapy, and consultation to a diverse pediatric caseload, including children with neurodevelopmental differences (e.g., autism, ADHD, global developmental delay).
Deliver therapy using adevelopmental and relationship-based model, supporting communication through play, connection, and family involvement.
Provide intervention for clients using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), including modeling strategies and caregiver coaching.
Collaborate as part of a joint SLP-OT therapy team for children with complex developmental needs.
Offer education and coaching to clients and families to support carryover of skills across environments.
Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and collaborative goal planning.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Registered with, or eligible for registration with CASLPO.
Mentorship is available for eligible/qualifying applicants.
Bilingual proficiency in French and English required for clinical practice with children and families.
Minimum of two years of pediatric experience (private practice, hospital, community, or school-based).
Experience or strong interest in:
Working withneurodivergent children (e.g., autism spectrum, ADHD, intellectual disability)
Supporting children who use AAC (low- and high-tech)
Using developmental, play-based, or relationship-centered therapy approaches (e.g., DIR/Floortime, Hanen, SCERTS)
Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Professional liability insurance.
Valid driver's license an asset, but not required.
