As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a part of an interdisciplinary team providing services to clients across the continuum of care. The majority of your clients will be pediatric community, with the opportunity to provide both dysphagia and communication support to inpatients and LTC residents in the Grande Cache Hospital as well as Home Care clients living at home or in a Designated Support Living Facility. We have a strong collaborative team consisting of SLP, OT, PT, and PTA, and work closely with the care teams from acute, Home Care, and Public Health. Social Work and ECIP services are provided from Grande Prairie.

Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will aid you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Additional Required Qualifications:

Masters in Speech Language Pathology is required. Current member of Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists is required. Current BCLS-HCP certification is required. Effective assessment, treatment and education skills. Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Some travel to nearby communities is involved. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver\'s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel are required.
