We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders across diverse patient populations. Duties
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing functions.
Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and recovery goals.
Provide evidence-based therapy interventions to improve communication skills and swallowing safety.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists to coordinate patient care.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
Document patient assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately in medical records.
Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and swallowing techniques.
Participate in case management activities to ensure continuity of care and optimal recovery outcomes.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid license or certification to practice as a Speech Pathologist in the respective state or region.
Prior hospital experience preferred, especially within acute care environments.
Experience with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to healthcare settings.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases effectively within a fast-paced environment.
