Your Opportunity:This is an exciting leadership opportunity with the Community Rehabilitation Interdisciplinary Service (CRIS) program in Allied Health Community (AHC)- Edmonton Zone. The CRIS Program provides services to adults living in the community with complex rehabilitation needs. Reporting to the Manager, AHC, the Speech-Language Pathologist III-Clinical Supervisor is responsible and accountable for: planning/implementation/evaluation of clinical services; providing strong clinical leadership and support to a multidisciplinary team; maintaining strong communication links with Allied Health Management and clinical leaders; supporting staff in the provision of evidence-informed practice and alignment with organizational and departmental mission, vision, and values; identifying, reporting and supporting the implementation of corrective actions for concerns identified related to patient and/or staff safety and the provision of direct client care services. The Clinical Supervisor develops and maintains strong working relations with key internal and external stakeholders in order to provide leadership and support to the Community Rehabilitation Interdisciplinary Service program. The successful candidate will work closely with the CRIS leadership team to support staff in the provision of seamless, high quality and sustainable patient care. This is currently a Speech Language Pathology Team Lead/Clinical Supervisor position. Consideration will be given to qualified and suitable candidates from other clinical rehabilitation disciplines.Description:As a Speech Language Pathologist III, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral leader to other healthcare professionals (Speech Language Pathologists, Assistants). You will facilitate the development and ongoing monitoring of clinical standards of practice for speech-language pathology and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. In collaboration with management, you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department\'s operational plan strategies.

Required Qualifications:Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Additional Required Qualifications:Consideration will be given to qualified Master\'s prepared candidates from the other clinical rehabilitation disciplines. The successful candidate must have in-depth clinical knowledge and skill specific to their respective disciplines in the area of adult rehabilitation services. The incumbent is expected to work, adapt, and respond within a complex ever-changing environment, employing problem solving, decision making and critical thinking skills while working independently. The successful candidate must be an effective oral and written communicator with strong assessment, organizational, problem solving and counselling skills. Strong interpersonal skills are required including the ability to develop both collegial and therapeutic relationships and the ability to navigate sensitive situations. Receptive to receiving and providing constructive feedback. Strong customer service focus while supporting a broad spectrum of internal and external customers/stakeholders. Must be able to work both independently and as part of various teams. Must possess a sound understand of community rehabilitation services and the social determinants of health. Sound knowledge of computer applications including basic word processing, email, virtual health platforms, and electronic/EMR is required. Preferred Qualifications:A minimum of 3-5 years\' experience as a rehabilitation clinician working in the community providing services to the adult population is preferred. Experience with Connect Care and/or EMR is considered an asset.
