Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to implement therapy plans, support students/clients, and help improve communication outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide direct speech and language therapy services to clients/students as directed by supervising SLP. Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP. Collect and record accurate data on client performance and progress. Prepare materials and set up therapy activities. Assist with screenings and informal assessments under SLP supervision. Collaborate with the supervising SLP, teachers, caregivers, and other professionals as needed. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
Experience
Experience working with children with communication needs (preferred). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Compassionate, patient, and adaptable in diverse settings. Diploma in related field or above is an asset
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 - 10 per week
