ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation (RW-TI), is seeking a Specification Sales Manager for Canada. The preferred candidate will be based in Calgary, Alberta and the territory is primarily Alberta (60%) with travel to Saskatchewan, Quebec and Ontario and will report to the Senior Specification Sales Manager.It will be your goal to drive demand for ROCKWOOL technical products and systems with leading Ownership groups, Global Design EPC and Industry consultants calling on engineering firms, key accounts and/or industry influencers individually, in a group or other public forum.Ready to help build a better future for generations to come?In an ever-changing, fast paced world, we owe it to ourselves and our future generations to live life responsibly.   • Communicate with the Industrial and Sales team associates to ensure they are informed of key project activities
  • Work closely with ROCKWOOL Specification Sales Managers, Technical Services and the Industrial Segment Manager, ensuring they are properly informed and are executing effective Engineering sales
What You Will Be Doing
  • Manage, develop, and expand ROCKWOOL\xe2\x80\x99s Engineering specification function as a global supplier of insulation to the Industrial process market and promote ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation products.
  • Actively influence projects amongst engineers, designers and specification managers in order to get ROCKWOOL products specified directly by name or indirectly
  • Build customer relations and gain a position in the technical network of the parties involved (including engineering and specification resources) in a way to influence the choice of RW-TI and its products
  • Set project goals for the region and agreed industry segments and execute work within described fixed cost budget and strategic business initiatives
  • Measure project success along agreed metrics and report monthly activities on quantitative goals
  • Represent RW-TI at all industry functions including trade associations, trade events and regulatory authorities
  • Track progress and report significant events or milestones, using IIR tools/database and ensure transition to appropriate stages in the sales cycle. Work alongside other RTI sales team members ensuring all efforts are well coordinated and that project information gets documented and transferred from the technical community to the sales team members
  • Participate in RTI-academy and acquire general knowledge on all market segments
  • Participate in seminars and workshops to ensure industry and technical product knowledge are kept current
  • Register all the technical specification activities in RockSell CRM tool
What You Bring
  • Engineering related degree, preferred
  • 5- 10 years of experience and proven track record in engineering specification sales of Industrial Insulation or related products in the Oil, Gas and Process industry
  • Demonstrate technical product knowledge 50% and sales skills 50%
  • Appropriate marketing/technical education (Process Engineering)
  • Proven track record of leadership; Strong negotiation and organizational skills
  • Strong presentation skills - high level of communication
  • Acute understanding of Industrial Insulation methods and current affairs
  • Project management expertise
  • Proven ability to build relationships with customers, engineers, specifiers, and others
  • Actively works with customers/clients to identify needs & develop technical proposals
  • Strong market knowledge and competitor landscape
