Specialty Teams Foreman

Job Description

This role is responsible for providing support to the Specialty Teams Manager as well as the various trades under the Specialty Teams department. This work will include repairs, renovations, and improvements to our multi-unit residential buildings. The Specialty Teams Foreman must have a good working knowledge of the residential construction industry and uphold tenant and staff safety while performing all aspects of the project.

Your contributions to the team:



Work with Specialty Teams Manager on all field aspects of the project budget, schedule and productivity of the Central Region Support, coordinate, and schedule the day to day work activities of the Specialty Team Delegate job tasks to appropriate crew members to assist in the completion of projects in a timely manner Oversee the execution of the work, including quality and production, by ensuring that crews work to job specifications Monitor the use of materials and resources to ensure operations are within budget Recognize, address and resolve issues or problems among crew Provide hands-on assistance and guidance on all construction and renovation projects

What you need to be successful:



Minimum 3 years' experience in residential wood frame construction, repair, and renovation Minimum 3 years' supervisory or team lead experience Knowledgeable in reading and understanding construction plans Work with grounds, mechanical, painting, and other special project crews to ensure tenant satisfaction Effective computer skills including experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams); experience using an ERP considered an asset Demonstrated ability in carpentry and building maintenance Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Ability to work well under pressure in a changing environment Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision Willing and able to travel between sites
