Position Summary
The Specialist, Talent Acquisition is responsible for providing human resources administrative and client support (advice and counsel) related to recruitment and selection programming and execution. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, the Specialist, Talent Acquisition is the first point of contact for hiring managers with questions and concerns related to talent acquisition. The role will manage the organization's job postings and assist managers with the selectionprocesses and for identified roles. This role will have significant client interaction throughout the sourcing, selection, and onboarding process, as well as communication with candidates, requiring them to be a positive and engaging representation of NCC at all times.
Key Responsibilities
Working closely with hiring managers to ensure that job postings are complete, bilingual, and are an accurate representation of the skill, effort, responsibilities and working conditions of the position.
Utilizes various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, and networking to identify quality candidates.
Shares knowledge of sourcing best practices with the hiring managers as it relates to in progress roles.
Maintains and enhances the applicant tracking system for efficient candidate management
Follows up with hiring managers on talent acquisition as it progresses, suggesting ways to enhance the process or generate a more effective talent pool.
Coordinates and delivers the onboarding program with new hires including enrollment in all required online courses, and facilitation of the live onboarding sessions.
Provides recommendations of continuous improvement of the onboarding component and ensures all onboarding content is updated regularly to accurately reflect any changes organizationally in information to be communicated to new hires.
Develops and implements effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent, particularly for key roles that are challenging to source. Provides recommendations to the Chief People Officer, of recruitment and selection process improvements.
Generates reports (regular and ad hoc) and analyses data for trends
Participates cross-functionally and on other HR initiatives as needed.
Position Requirements
College diploma (HR Related) or equivalent
2-3 years experience with recruitment and selection support
CHRP designation
Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
Knowledge of HR and HR systems (how they interrelate/applicable legislation) required
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal)
Experience with recruitment modules within HRMS systems
Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, and TEAMS,
Experience with reporting and data analysis
Exceptional customer service, organizational, and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
