Leadership Responsibilities:
Leads the Middleware team by setting goals, assigning resources for projects and tasks, tracking project status, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the team
Assists management with hiring processes and new Middleware team member training
Communicates deadlines and sales goals to Middleware team members
Delegates tasks and sets deadlines
Conducts team meetings to update members on best practices and continuing expectations
Has a functional understanding and experience with ITIL framework for service/incident/change/problem management. Ensures the Middleware team understands and follows ITIL best practices and company policies.
Contributes technically and remains a key hands-on contributor to the projects and tasks of the Middleware team
Key Technical Responsibilities:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of core J2EE and related technology (web services, messaging, SSO, etc.) and relationship to supported Middleware technology.
Interact with multiple internal/external (including clients) stakeholders to provide both project?and steady state support for supported Middleware platforms across multiple applications/environment/instances:
WAS - 10+ distinct applications with multiple instances and environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
IIB - 20+ distinct applications/services with multiple instances and environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
JBoss - 1 distinct application with multiple environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
MuleSoft - under development with multiple environments (DEV/TEST/PROD/DR)
Installation, configuration and maintenance (including fixes/patches) of supported technology platforms acting as SME to liaise with multiple stakeholders:
Scheduling and deploying platform upgrades/updates
Providing security related updates to management using cyber security dashboard
Creation of nodes/server/cells/resources/plugins, etc.
Creation of brokers/queue managers/queues, etc.
Troubleshooting application deployment and assisting with configuration of application resources
Troubleshooting application performance
Providing escalation support for application connectivity functions from both system and end-user perspective
Configure and reporting authentication and access control
Understanding of configuration maximums and license models for supported Middleware platforms
Develop and support in-house scripts as required to automated administrative functions using UNIX KSH and PERL, PYTHON, JYTHON scripting languages.
Implement and support automated jobs for managed file transfer using Ipswitch MOVEit platform.
Provide 24x7 rotating on-call support for business-critical applications (acknowledgement within 15 minutes) as well as scheduled business activities such as monthly pre-approved outage windows for system maintenance (\xe2\x80\x9cGreen Zones\xe2\x80\x9d) and scheduled application deployments.
Participate in annual disaster recovery (DR) planning and testing.
Knowledge of SSL certificates including creation of CSRs and installation/update/tracking of certificates on platforms listed below.? Team is responsible for managing lifecycle of all SSL certificates on supported platforms.
