Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Database Support Cloud Engineer to provide 24x7 infrastructure support for cloudbased database environments The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration across cloud platforms Azure AWS troubleshooting and performance optimization Handson experience in automation and process improvement is an added advantage
Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain managed database services Azure SQL AWS RDS ensuring high availability and disaster recovery
Perform routine tasks such as database backups restores upgrades and performance tuning
Monitor and troubleshoot incidents including P1P2 issues and participate in root cause analysis
Implement and maintain security measures including encryption auditing and compliance with standards
Schedule and monitor database jobs ensuring timely execution and resolution of failures
Participate in change management processes including CAB meetings and documentation of changes
Automate repetitive tasks using scripting languages PowerShell Python and improve operational processes
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to support application and infrastructure requirements
Technical Skills Tools
Proficiency with cloud database platforms Azure SQL AWS RDS
Experience with relational databases MSSQL MySQL PostgreSQL
Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor CloudWatch PMM
Strong SQL skills for query optimization and troubleshooting
Familiarity with LinuxWindows environments and shell scripting
Understanding of ITIL processes for Incident Problem and Change Management
Process Compliance
Adherence to ITIL v4 practices for Incident Problem Change and Knowledge Management
Ensure compliance with security baselines patching cadence and audit readiness ISONIST
Certifications
Preferred Microsoft Certified Azure Administrator Associate AZ104 AWS Certified Database Specialty
ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage
Soft Skills
Excellent communication skills for interaction with stakeholders and global teams
Ability to work in 24x7 shift environments and handle critical incidents effectively
Strong problemsolving skills and proactive approach to process improvement
