This team\'s scope is for all Canadian banners, including NAPA Auto Parts, CMAX, Altrom/Auto-Camping, Traction, TW, Cadel and Master Sourcing.Reporting to the Director, Strategy & Insights, the Specialist, Strategic Analytics will be responsible for supporting strategic enterprise analysis projects to identify growth and optimization opportunities within the organization. In addition, you will work closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and IT teams to define strategic objectives, scope and analyze muti-faceted areas of the business into Business Intelligence applications, and provide insights that drive business transformation.Strategic Analytics Initiatives (60%)

  • Conduct in-depth analyses of multi-faceted sources across all divisions, business processes, systems, and data to identify opportunities for performance improvements.
  • Develop complex and advanced analytics to support business transformation and UAP strategic objectives, and provide recommendations and action plans based on findings.
  • Strategically analyze business results and summarize findings to improve understanding of UAP\'s performance and areas for optimization, growth and transformation. Develop forecasting and planning models for performance metrics and results.
  • Proactively identify and interpret business needs, identify opportunities that enhance decision-making across all levels of the organization, and respond with business analytics.
  • Analyze key performance indicators to ensure strategic initiatives are effectively providing results and value.
  • Support ad-hoc analytics and business inquiries as needed.
Business Intelligence (BI) Analysis (40%)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business objectives, analytics and metrics needs, and develop initial scoping requirements/design of Power BI dashboards. Anticipate future and ongoing business needs, and continuously improve analytics to support this.
  • Identify cross-divisional, cross-departmental opportunities for BI applications to create consistency in analytics, reporting and metrics, and transform how UAP makes decisions.
  • Scope performance metrics, data sources, security requirements and reporting needs. Work collaboratively with the IT - Business Intelligence team to develop and implement.
  • Support prioritization of enterprise BI application development pipeline within a business domain. Provide transparency on prioritization efforts across leadership teams. Support the BI Steering Committee material and meetings.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline/field; Business Intelligence certifications would be an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on strategic enterprise analysis and business transformation projects.
  • Proven experience conducting complex and advanced analyses (e.g. statistical correlations, regression analysis, AI/machine learning) to identify growth and optimization opportunities.
  • Strong capabilities to create powerful analytics by presenting data visually to support business decision making and understanding. Knowledge and working experience in Power BI and/or Alteryx is a requirement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English and French is a requirement.
  • Flexible team player, who can build strong collaborative relationships across teams. Naturally curious with the proven ability to challenge the status quo to bring value and evolve enterprise analytics and insights.
