The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Specialist, Risk Management to join our North Atlantic Project Group Department in Toronto. This is a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project risk identification at the project level in several inputs, such as (but not limited to): Project scope statement, Project life cycle, WBS, Activity list, Remaining work, Estimates, Dependencies and sequence of work, Procurement plans, Resource planning, Change requests and historical data.
  • Contextualize the risk identification at the portfolio level, considering the enterprise environment such as (but not limited to): Stakeholder analysis, Business Case, Portfolio Governance level success factors, enterprise environmental factors.
  • Analyze, identify, document, and disclose the impact of portfolio risks on the organization\'s interests.
  • Align risk management with organizational strategy and governance practices.
  • Perform ongoing validation of monitoring strategies to ensure appropriate project and portfolio governance and control.
  • Define, implement and deploy KPIs (key performance indicators) to ensure compliance processes with the established targets.
  • Plan, execute and follow-up audits and examinations according to the audits and examinations plan.
  • Plan, execute and follow up training needs within the project organization as to quality assurance matters, risk management system and examination/audit activities.
About You

Education
  • University degree or College diploma in Engineering, Business, or related discipline
  • PEng Designation is an asset
  • CMA or CA Designation is an asset
Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in quality/risk analysis and project planning in an environmental or heavy industrial industry
  • Experience with leading a team
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Suite programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc)
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6, PPM, Deltek Acumen and Primevera Risk Analysis
Skills
  • Ability to work structured and independently in maintaining project control systems updated and meet deadlines for reporting and other milestones
  • Excellent knowledge of engineering controls, cost control, project accounting and project reporting.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
