DATA ETL Tester



Location Markham Ontario Canada



Working model Hybrid 3 days Work from Office 2 days mandatory Tue Wed 1 day flexible any day from Mon Thu Fri



Technical Skills Primary



8 + Years of Software Quality Assurance experience on enterprise level applications which includes Data Warehouse Testing



Experience in writing complex SQL queries



Experience with Cloud Snowflake and AWSS3 including PostgreSQL DB SQL Database Hadoop Data Lake



Must have experience in using ETL Tool informatica Power Center BDM



Ability to determine the types of testing that must be conducted ie data validation regression etc including evaluating the testability of requirements and create a comprehensive test plan that supports the business and technological solutions being delivered



Experience in validating data extraction transformation and load programs daily and initial load functionality on a wide range of data repositories structured and semistructured files relational and multidimensional data stores



Understanding of data modeling and design principles for data marts and data warehouses



Secondary Skills



Experince in Mongo DB



Experince in validating Informatica MDM



Understanding of Insurance domain





Soft Skills



Should be a selfstarter takes responsibility and ownership and is selfdriven



Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as ability to work within a team



Good team player commitment to highquality output and service



Effective communication and teamwork skills including the ability to collaborate with cross functional teams

Can you describe your experience with ETL testing Which ETL tools have you used?



Have you worked with cloud platforms like AWS or Snowflake What kind of testing did you perform?



How comfortable are you with writing SQL queries Can you give an example of how youve used SQL in testing?



Have you tested data pipelines involving data extraction transformation and loading



Have you worked with data warehouses or data lakes What was your role in testing those systems?



Have you done any testing related to data models or data marts?



How do you ensure data quality during testing What kinds of issues have you identified in the past?

Benefits

Compensation range: $90,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
