We are currently looking for a Specialist, Quality Assurance who will report to the Manager, Quality Assurance and will ensure compliance with quality requirements for projects under their responsibility while contributing to the development and implementation of the methods and processes necessary to ensure that products meet the quality standards established by the organization.

Responsibilities

Review project quality criteria Draft contract instructions for inspection and testing plans that reflect the requirements and specifications contained in the customer's order Present documentation and follow up with the customer Participate as a representative of the Quality Assurance department in project management (clear and timely communication with internal and external customers) Resolve issues related to contracts under your responsibility Participate in the development, review, and implementation of various Velan quality procedures and instructions Interact with customer representatives and regulatory authorities Evaluate non-conformities issued by customers Conduct internal quality audits and participate in audits conducted by external parties Other assigned tasks

Your profile

Bachelor's degree in industrial, mechanical, or metallurgical engineering; membership in the OIQ (an asset) An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered A minimum of five (5) years of work experience in the field of engineering A minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or quality management Experience in a company serving the nuclear energy industry is an asset ASME/ANSI standards and material specifications applicable to the pressure vessel or piping/valve industry ASME Section III, Division 1 (an asset) ISO 9001 and NQA-1 standards, and auditor qualification (an asset) Proficiency in the Office Suite Proficiency in French and English, oral and written (bilinguism) Ability to process and synthesize large amounts of technical information Time management skills Superior problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy Autonomy and ability to work alone
