We have a six (6) month temporary opportunity for a Problem Specialist on our IT Services, Incident & Problem Management Team at our Saint John, NB Corporate office. Currently our teams have the opportunity to work together in our Saint John office and also to work from home with company provided equipment.

As a Problem Specialist you are responsible for maintaining and reporting on the Problem Management process. In this role you will recognize and understand the underlying causes of an incident as well as identify the best method to eliminate that root cause, ultimately reducing the number of incidents. You are empowered to collaborate and communicate with our internal support teams to research and track the unknown underlying cause of major incidents. You will manage and update the problem throughout the problem life-cycle, from unknown root cause, to known error, to final remediation. The Problem Specialist tracks problems related to IT incidents and trend analyses, conducts reviews after major incidents, and reports root cause analysis to key stakeholders. The Problem Analyst is also responsible for the creation and maintenance of a knowledgebase for known errors, problems, and solutions.

Reporting to the Senior Director, IT Test & Delivery you will have a demonstrated five (5) years' experience working in technical or helpdesk support and experience with ITIL Foundations, ITIL Operations and Support, A+ and Network + certifications.Your strong customer service, communication and analytical knowledge are keys to your success as a Problem Specialist.
