YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Operation Technology, you will be part of the Information Technology Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle's culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Design, configure and program different components related to process control which includes but is not limited to PLCs, AVEVA component servers, AVEVA Historian servers and application software;
Design and Deploy solutions to resolve technical issues related to industrial process controls;
Propose and Design technical improvements for the IT-OT department;
Develop PLC-HMI templates and support technicians and engineers;
In team with the IT Analysts, maintain and optimize the entire IT-OT network and server fleet;
Responsible for the industrial computers maintenance and SCADA systems stability;
Monitor and Configure production ethernet switches, OT servers and OT domain;
Maintain documentation and diagrams;
Advise the management on appropriate actions and decisions to take;
Acts as a resource person for members of the Energy and Infrastructure team.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
College's or Bachelors's Degree in Computer Science, Instrumentation, Automated production or Electrical Enginnering;
5+ years' experience in Advanced Process Controls, Ethernet Switch, Servers and SCADA systems;
Proficient with AVEVA system platform, fiber optics architecture and communications protocols at various levels, most specifically for industrial control system;
Advance knowledge of software installation, computers and servers configuration;
Able to configure and maintain historian databases and Windows Domain management;
Ability to read, modify and develop programming logic (PLC/HMI);
Mineral Processing and Material Handling industry experience;
Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications, AutoCad, Visio, and Miro.
Note that the official working language for our Nunavut operations is English.
Your Work Schedule:
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
