The role of a Specialist, Network & Telecom is a technical position with in-depth knowledge of Telecom network infrastructure. The specialist is responsible for the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
\xc2\xb7 Incident and Problem Management
\xc2\xb7 Vulnerability Management
\xc2\xb7 Capacity and Performance Management
\xc2\xb7 Lifecycle Management
\xc2\xb7 Change Management (plan /coordinate and implement telecom changes)
\xc2\xb7 Detailed analysis and operation review of Datacenters and LAN/WAN Infrastructure
\xc2\xb7 Perform Network Operational Audits, verifications to existing standards
\xc2\xb7 Internal / External project involvement (provide guidance and direction to proper transition to operations)
\xc2\xb7 Plan and coordinate the implementation, testing and cutover of Telecom technologies into existing telecom infrastructure. This may include the guidance of field technicians.
\xc2\xb7 Assist Disaster Recovery exercises
\xc2\xb7 Provide 3rd Level support to pager roster (24/7) rotation basis
\xc2\xb7 Mentor and coach peers
REQUIREMENTS:
\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering or equivalent. Telecommunications specialization preferred.
\xc2\xb7 5+ years in IT with a minimum of 3+ years of demonstrated experience in providing hands-on technical expertise within large corporate environments.
\xc2\xb7 Expertise in LAN/WAN technologies, WAN Optimization, IPAM.
\xc2\xb7 Expertise in Datacenter technologies (Leaf and spine technology).
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge and troubleshooting skills in EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP, MP-BGP, MPLS, redistribution between different routing protocols.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of TCP/IP stack, IPv4, TCP, UDP, ICMP, ARP, GRE, IPSEC, ESP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, FHRPs, QoS, SNMP, Tacacs, Radius.
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Cisco Wi-Fi networks, including Cisco Prime, WLCs, APs, ISE and all related technologies.
\xc2\xb7 Experience and knowledge in operations and optimization of IP networks.
\xc2\xb7 Good understanding of communications media (fibre, copper, wireless) and structured cabling best practices.
\xc2\xb7 Excellent oral, written and presentation skills.
\xc2\xb7 Cisco CCNP/CCIE Certification or equivalent knowledge.
