Join Alectra as a Specialist, Learning & Organizational Development (Employee Experience), where you will deliver L&OD programs, employee engagement, Wellbeing, EDI and Culture Transformation.
What you'll do
• Conducts needs analysis of the organization's learning/OD needs by consulting organizational leaders and People Services, analyzing data, and conducting research, to identify the organization's L&OD needs.
• Collaborates with subject-matter experts within the organization and externally to develop L&OD initiatives aligned with the organization's needs, such as equity, diversity and inclusion (ED&I), psychological safety and wellness, employee engagement, recognition, workforce and succession planning, and training.
• Leads/facilitates training, workshops and/or discovery sessions for the L&OD team, such as on-boarding, orientation, employee focus groups and wellness sessions
• Evaluates the impact and return on investment of L&OD programs and initiatives by developing and tracking metrics, and using it to inform future program developments.
• Manages assigned projects using effective project and change management techniques, including managing stakeholders, logistics, budget and administration, for effective and efficient program delivery.
• Researches new trends and approaches in the learning, ED&I, wellness, talent management and organizational development community of practice for continuous improvement and serves as a champion for an innovative and continuously improving culture.
• Implements strategy and develops tactical plans for wellness, recognition, ED&I, and performance management programs and workshops, including program design, communications, delivery, monitoring and evaluation.
• Supports the development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and programs as they relate to performance management, wellness, service recognition, and culture transformation.
• Develop and supports program communications and strategy in partnership with the Employee Communications team, including corporate and leadership communications, program launch, and scripts.
• Ensures that the corporate initiatives introduced to the organization contribute to organizational objectives and align with Alectra's People Deal, corporate vision and mission.
• Works very closely with the LODEC team and People & Transformation team on all projects and programs.
• Ensures compliance to legislative, regulatory, and Health & Safety policies, procedures and standards.
• Performs other duties as required.

Who you are
Education & Specialized Knowledge
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline
• CHRL Designation and/or certification in Adult Education or Organizational Development is preferred
• Prosci/ADKAR certification is an asset
• CHRL Designation preferred
• Mental health certification or training is an asset
• Proficiency with MS Office applications and SharePoint
• Resilient and agile in a fast paced, evolving environment
• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple projects and initiatives within established timelines
• Solid problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to provide practical and/or innovative solutions to complex issues
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to explain information in an organized and concise way
• Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership
Experience
• Minimum of five years' experience in Learning and/or Organizational Development
• Minimum of three years' experience leading Culture Transformation projects
• Minimum of two years' experience working on Employee Health and Wellness
• Experience working in an unionized environment

• Handles more-complex administrative tasks related to program development and execution to ensure it runs smoothly.
• Ability to guide difficult/complex discussions or divisive issues to help others develop insights and remain engaged with the task.
• Strong communications and planning skills, with the ability to assess the impact and risks of decisions
• Excellent written, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience conducting research, analyzing and compilation of reports, and prioritization of work
• Familiarity with developing creative program and marketing materials
• Energetic, enthusiastic and motivating team player committed to the overall success of the organization
• Ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives within established timelines
• Ability to deal effectively and with courtesy to all levels of staff and external organizations
• Demonstrates a high degree to integrity, diplomacy, and confidentiality
• Ability to work both independently and as a team with enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity
• Demonstrates competence in continuous improvement, accountability, teamwork and development
• Must hold and maintain a valid class "G" driver's license and be willing to travel across Alectra's service territory
