As ATB\'s next Specialist II, Portfolio Trading & Analysis, you are integral to the success of ATB Investment Management\'s partnerships with our investment fund and Private investment counsel teams in order to provide best-in-class service and support to our customers. In this role you will be a curious thinker, a master problem solver, and able to work in fast pace, high pressure situations while still completing tasks quickly and accurately.

Accountabilities:

• Monitor and facilitate the day-to day transactions and workflow of a multi-asset class trade desk to support investment fund and discretionary client businesses
• Provide support for investment transactions and portfolio administration (e.g. investment trading, holdings/transaction reconciliations, portfolio analysis) and ensure departmental guidelines are adhered to
• Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, third party requesters, high value clients, and internal ATB partners
• Investigate and resolve process related issues in support of exceptional customer care
• Perform quality assurance and ensure adherence to departmental guidelines and established service level agreements (SLAs)
• Identify requirements (e.g., from regulatory changes) and implement process and efficiency improvements for front-end and back-end processes (e.g., trading, settlement, analysis & reconciliation)
• Create training materials and provide coaching to team members on how to execute processes

Requirements:

• University degree (Business, Economics, Accounting, Finance) or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 2-5 years securities industry experience, preferably with an investment fund manager
• Investment industry courses (i.e. Canadian Securities Course, IFIC, Trading, Investment Funds Operations, etc.) Enrollment in the CFA program is considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize, multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast paced, changing environment
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial industry operations including mutual fund administration, broker dealer back offices and custody relationships
• Exceptional oral and written communication of technical information for technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong operational expertise with the effective use of technology and tools
• Excellent writing, listening and presentation skills with a proven ability to disseminate information effectively to other team members at all levels of the organization
• Capable of working effectively under pressure and within tight deadlines
