About Potash

BHP\'s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP\'s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP\'s global portfolio. Jansen\'s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.

Work Location

This role will be based at the Jansen Mine Site located in Leroy, SK. The associated work schedule will be Monday to Friday.

As this role is not eligible for accommodation in the site camp, the incumbent must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the Jansen site.

Purpose

The Specialist Engineer provides technical expertise in the management of engineering information, assures site Blueprint is updated and manages the overall technical Management of Change (MoC) process.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

Design and implement governance/assurance practices for technical Management of Change.

Incorporate learnings into the MoC standard, procedures, and training documents.

Monitor, audit, and report on effectiveness of the MoC process.

Ensure all changes impacting blueprint information have a specific action assigned to provide and/or update as-built blueprint information.

Evaluate all changes impacting blueprint information for content accuracy in relation with as-built information, and ensure it is filed within the applicable Documents Management system.

Use, store, classify, assesses, and process data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity, and governance.

About You

3 - 5 years of relevant engineering in a projects or operations environment.

A bachelor\'s degree in sciences, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience in the resource or energy sector.

Knowledge of workflows in industry document management systems (knowledge in Smartplant or equivalent plant information management software is preferred)
