We currently have an opportunity for a full time Specialist, Carrier Partnerships to join our Integrated Supply Chain Team based out of one of our office(s) across Canada. As a valued team member working in a hybrid environment you will be required to be on site either in office a minimum of three (3) days per week.Here\xe2\x80\x99s where you\xe2\x80\x99ll be focusing:\xc2\xb7 Analyze transportation company price quotes providing comparison on pricing and services
\xc2\xb7 Analyze the profitability of the backhaul and carrier pickup program through transportation cost review and vendor revenue analysis
\xc2\xb7 Communicate with vendors and carriers
\xc2\xb7 Initiate inbound freight negotiations with vendors
\xc2\xb7 Assist in the negotiation of transportation agreements
\xc2\xb7 Negotiate spot freight requirements as necessary to support quality and cost
\xc2\xb7 Facilitate custom issues while supporting quality and cost objectives
\xc2\xb7 Identify opportunities to leverage our transportation network and reduce cost
\xc2\xb7 Arrange freight for seasonal vendors
\xc2\xb7 Maintain data in TMS
\xc2\xb7 Assist in negotiations of transport carrier agreements/contracts
\xc2\xb7 Analyze profitability of backhaul and carrier pick up
\xc2\xb7 Identify opportunities to leverage transportation network and reduce costsWhat you have to offer:\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years progressive management experience in inventory control, transportation/ supply chain experience including international freight experience
\xc2\xb7 Relevant designation/ credentials in logistics, supply chain, and/ or transportation (CITT, CPIM or PMAC, ERP)
\xc2\xb7 Experience within large retailers, Distribution Centre and Warehouse operations
\xc2\xb7 Experience using current logistics technology as it applies to transportation management
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of National and International transportation legislation including safety regulations
