Pathways Health Centre for Children is a charitable not-for-profit family-centred community agency serving children and youth with physical, developmental and communication needs. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025, the Centre provides a full range of pediatric rehabilitation and support services, largely funded by the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services. In addition, Pathways offers a therapeutic pool, open to people of all ages and abilities in the community and has a licensed, integrated childcare service on site (C.A.C.H.E.).

We are currently recruiting for an additional full-time Permanent:

Resource Consultant

Under the direction of the Supervisor of Community Services, the Resource Consultant will provide special needs resource support to children birth to 12 years of age. The Resource Consultant promotes and supports inclusion of children in licensed childcare facilities including Before and After School programs and licensed home childcare settings within the County of Lambton. The Resource Consultant will provide orientation, direct support and guidance to Resource Assistants and Support Facilitators in implementing the Care Plan working in partnership with childcare educators.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Early Childhood Education Diploma, registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Education required. Specialized diploma or certificate - Autism Behavioural Science Diploma, Resource Teacher Consultant Certificate, Early Intervention Certificate preferred Minimum 2 years of experience in childcare setting Experience supporting children with autism and their families Must have a good knowledge of child development, childcare best practices, family dynamics, inclusive early learning, early childhood/special needs programming, and the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEY) and the Child and Family Services Act (CFSA), Province of Ontario. Cultural competency training is an asset Fluency in French is an asset
Salary Range: $29.16 - $36.44 (dependent on experience)

The successful candidate must have a valid Ontario driver's license and maintain adequate liability insurance or must have ongoing access to a vehicle and driver for Pathways business. A Vulnerable Sector Police Check (dated within the last 6 months) as well as proof of applicable immunizations are required.
