If you have lived in Vancouver for a while, chances are high that you've been to the Vancouver Christmas Market. Now in our 15th season, our authentic outdoor German Christmas Market features unique holiday shopping, seasonal entertainment, and delicious traditional food and drinks. Located in the downtown core of Vancouver, at Jack Poole Plaza, the Christmas Market will be open to the public daily from November 13 to December 24.

Full-Time Employment Opportunity - Special Events Coordinator



We are looking for an energetic and highly organized Special Events Coordinator to help bring the festive magic of the Christmas Market to life! This role ensures that daily programming, special events, and guest experiences run smoothly and seamlessly. You'll work closely with entertainment, vendors, and front-of-house teams to make sure every event feels special, runs on time, and creates memorable moments for guests.

Hours:

Contract Full Time from September 2, 2025 - December 31, 2025. Variable work schedule including evenings and weekends.

Guest Experience Manager

Roles and Responsibilities



Event Execution & Programming



Coordinate daily programming, live entertainment, and special themed events. Ensure all event areas are fully stocked, prepared, and ready to go each day. Identify gaps or last-minute needs and quickly problem-solve to keep operations running smoothly. Check in vendors, entertainers (e.g., Santa, performers), and ensure they have what they need to deliver great guest experiences. Work closely with the front-of-house (FOH) team to manage schedules and transitions between events.

Guest Experience



Monitor guest flow during events to ensure a smooth, enjoyable experience. Be a visible point of contact for guests and assist with resolving any event-related issues. Support influencer/media activations and help coordinate special promotional activities.

Administration & Communication



Keep the event and entertainment calendar up to date with any changes. Confirm bookings, ensure performers/vendors are paid, and provide timely updates to management. Share feedback and suggest improvements to enhance programming and guest experience.

Qualifications



Experience coordinating events, festivals, or guest-facing programs. Highly organized with strong multitasking and problem-solving skills. Great communication and people skills; comfortable working with vendors, performers, and large teams. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment. Positive, proactive, and detail-oriented mindset. Flexible schedule - evenings, weekends, and holiday hours required.

Compensation



Salary range: $4,000 - $4,500 Ticket exchange from popular attractions in Vancouver Team Building and Workshop Bonuses based on the performance
