Who you are



o This is a hybrid job for the Beauharnois, Quebec Distribution Centre, so you must be able to go there for the part worked in the office.

You have a Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation and/or 3- 5 years' experience in a Customs related field (importer, broker, consultant). You are enthusiastic about import/export processes and supply chain operations in a global environment You have a strong interest in Canada/US regulatory requirements such as classification, valuation, country of origin, free trade agreements, anti-dumping and surtax. You love working in a high volume and fast paced office/ distribution environment You are very analytical, and results driven. You love to investigate things and come up with solutions to any issues that may arise with tact and grace. You can quickly understand and clearly communicate complex topics. You have amazing attention for details and can effortlessly juggle multiple competing priorities while keeping a smile on your face. You are a total people-person and can strike up a conversation easily and build rapport with anyone you interact with! You have excellent personal computer skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel. You can use features and formulas that eliminate or reduce redundancy.

A day in your life with us



o Secure compliance in every customs declaration. Identify, investigate, and act to resolve inaccuracies and deviations, including submission of entry corrections and adjustments.

Responsible for handling of information and documents with internal stakeholders, external service providers and authorities to ensure timely, accurate and compliant declarations for imports and exports. Responsible to maintain master data for filing relevant declarations with appropriate authorities and to update standard operating procedures for assigned tasks. Responsible to ensure timely and accurate processing of post-entry corrections and adjustments. Responsible to share and maintain relevant customs knowledge, collaborating with co-workers to share insights. Developing and securing strategic partnerships internally and externally that drive change and secure compliance. Secure import and export processes are anchored with excellence in operations and a culture of compliance that supports strategic goals within the global customs organization and aligned with IKEA vision, strategies, and directives. Contribute to an environment where IKEA culture is a strong and living reality that embraces the diversity of coworkers and customers. Assume responsibility for other tasks and projects as assigned.
