Cette personne soccupe de traduire divers documents comme les communications internes et les documents destin\xc3\xa9s aux clients, y compris les pr\xc3\xa9sentations et les documents promotionnels. Elle collabore \xc3\xa9galement \xc3\xa0 la traduction du contenu num\xc3\xa9rique, notamment les publicit\xc3\xa9s, les publications sur les m\xc3\xa9dias sociaux et le contenu du site Web. Summary
The Technical Translation Specialist is responsible for preparing, coordinating and reviewing translation requests for business units and shared functions in Canada. This role is responsible to translate a variety of documents ranging from internal communications to customer facing collateral including presentations and brochures. The Technical Translation Specialist will also support the translation of digital medium including ads, social media posts and website content. The Technical Translation Specialist is a detail-oriented, bilingual (French/English), and independent worker who interacts with internal teams, and works closely with translation vendors to ensure high quality and cost-effective translations.

Responsabilit\xc3\xa9s

Mettre en place un processus de r\xc3\xa9ception des demandes de traduction et en \xc3\xaatre la ou le responsable.

\xc3\x89valuer et traiter de mani\xc3\xa8re autonome les demandes de traduction de documents internes et externes, principalement de langlais au fran\xc3\xa7ais et occasionnellement du fran\xc3\xa7ais \xc3\xa0 langlais.

Coordonner les projets de traduction avec les fournisseurs de services de traduction, au besoin, et r\xc3\xa9viser les traductions termin\xc3\xa9es.

Effectuer des recherches terminologiques, \xc3\xa9tablir une terminologie ad\xc3\xa9quate ou sassurer du bon usage des termes en fonction de leur sens \xc3\xa0 des fins dutilisation et de normalisation.

Assurer la communication quotidienne avec les parties prenantes internes et externes \xc3\xa0 l\xc3\xa9gard des projets confi\xc3\xa9s afin de garantir le respect des dates dach\xc3\xa8vement.

Collaborer avec les parties prenantes concern\xc3\xa9es pour r\xc3\xa9gler les probl\xc3\xa8mes de divergence relative aux fichiers sources, de terminologie, de qualit\xc3\xa9 linguistique et de flux de travail.

Veiller \xc3\xa0 lexactitude de la terminologie et tenir \xc3\xa0 jour un glossaire des termes fr\xc3\xa9quemment traduits afin dassurer luniformit\xc3\xa9 et la qualit\xc3\xa9.

Manifester une bonne compr\xc3\xa9hension des principes de base de la gestion de projet. Planifier et g\xc3\xa9rer de nombreux projets simultan\xc3\xa9ment avec peu de supervision.

Aptitudes et comp\xc3\xa9tences

Ma\xc3\xaetrise de langlais et du fran\xc3\xa7ais.

Capacit\xc3\xa9 de traduire avec pr\xc3\xa9cision de linformation technique, scientifique et m\xc3\xa9dicale de langlais au fran\xc3\xa7ais, tout en conservant le sens et lintention du texte source.

Sens aigu de lorganisation et autonomie.

Capacit\xc3\xa9 de g\xc3\xa9rer plusieurs projets simultan\xc3\xa9ment et de respecter les \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ances.

Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec les outils d\xc3\xa9ditique (Adobe).

Connaissance pratique des applications de la suite Microsoft Office.

Bonnes aptitudes pour les relations interpersonnelles, y compris pour la communication \xc3\xa9crite et orale.

Qualification et exp\xc3\xa9rience

Au moins deux ans dexp\xc3\xa9rience de traduction dans le domaine des soins de sant\xc3\xa9 ou de la m\xc3\xa9decine.

Au moins une \xc3\xa0 deux ann\xc3\xa9es dexp\xc3\xa9rience pratique dans la gestion de projets de traduction.

Exp\xc3\xa9rience avec les outils de traduction assist\xc3\xa9e par ordinateur comme Trados Studio, WordFast et Phrase TMS.

Scolarit\xc3\xa9 et formation

Baccalaur\xc3\xa9at ou dipl\xc3\xb4me \xc3\xa9quivalent en traduction ou dans un domaine li\xc3\xa9 aux langues.

Au moins une \xc3\xa0 deux ann\xc3\xa9es dexp\xc3\xa9rience pratique dans la gestion de projets de traduction.

Agr\xc3\xa9ment \xc3\xa0 titre de traducteur dans la combinaison linguistique anglais-fran\xc3\xa7ais.

Membre de lAssociation des traducteurs et interpr\xc3\xa8tes de lOntario (ATIO) ou de lOrdre des traducteurs, terminologues et interpr\xc3\xa8tes agr\xc3\xa9\xc3\xa9s du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (OTTIAQ), un atout.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage a project intake process for translation requests.

Independently assess and complete translation requests for internal and external documents, primarily from English to French and occasionally from French to English.

Coordinate translations with translation vendors when required and proofread completed translations.

Conduct terminological reseach and establish correct terminology/meaning for use and standardization.

Handle day-to-day communication with internal and external stakeholders for assigned projects to ensure completion dates are met.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve questions or conflicts related to source file discrepancies, terminology, language quality, and workflow.

Ensures terminology accuracy and maintains a glossary of frequently translated terms to ensure consistency and quality.

Possess a good understanding of project management basics; plans and manages numerous projects concurrently with limited supervision.

Skills and Competencies

Fluency in both English and French

Ability to accurately translate technical, scientific and medical infromation from English to French, while maintaining the original meaning and intent.

Superior organizational skills with the ability to work independently.

Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Experience with desktop publishing tools (Adobe).

Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Good interpersonal skills including effective written and oral communication.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of two years of experience completing healthcare or medical translations.

Minimum of one to two years hands-on experience in translation project management.

Experience using computer assisted translation tools such as Trados Studio, WordFast or Phrase TMS.

Education and Training

Bachelors Degree or equivalent in a translation or language-related field required.

Minimum of one to two years hands-on experience in translation project management.

Certified Translator in the language combination of English to French.

Member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario (ATIO) or Ordre des traducteurs, terminologues et interpr\xc3\xa8tes agr\xc3\xa9\xc3\xa9s du Qu\xc3\xa9bec (OTTIAQ) - preferred
